-4X^4 - 44x^2 + 3600 = 0

divide through by -4:-

x^4 + 11x^2 - 900 = 0

900 = 36 * - 25    and 11 = 36-25  so the factors are

(x^2 + 36)(x^2 - 25)  = 0

x^2 = - 36  giving  x = 6i and -6i

x^2 = 25  giving x = 5 and x = -5

solution set is {-5, 5,  6i, -6i}
